GOAL

The goal of the project was two-fold: to dip my toes, rather deep, into a realm of 3D that I had only imagined doing - and, of course, to help the client realize their new home - before the foundation was poured.

RESOURCES

Most of the furniture and appliance choices were either directly referenced by the client or were inspired by their other choices, and refined with several rounds of changes. It might go without saying that a project that’s the size and scope of a home requires a LOT of assets, and gathering, preparing, and often creating the plethora of materials required was a task to rival any I have undertaken thus far on my journey.

Modeling Challenge

The client requested a specific chair that I couldn’t find an analog for, so I decided to model it myself. Using product photos as reference, I drew a profile shape in Illustrator, brought that into Cinema 4D, and took it from there. The cushions were borrowed from another stock chair model.

The Renders

Every room in the house is represented with as close to accurate furniture and appliances as to what is intended for the final home. Also included are external shots of the front and rear terrace area.
