I was approached by a friend to design the logo and product label for his pepper sauce brand, Owl’s Eye.
The basic brief was, “here’s the owl that’s our mascot, make a simplified version of her for the logo.” As you can see below, the process was iterative, but it didn’t take long to hone in on a look that worked for the brand.
In addition, I did some 3D visualizations to get a feel for how the label would look on the bottle that had been chosen for the sauce.
This is Loki. He's the mascot for the brand and the direct inspiration for the Owl's Eye name and logo.
Original draft of the logo concept with various lettering options.
Early label draft. Logo isn't in it's final form here, but getting close.
Final label. Tweaked line widths and created the cutout look to add more style to the design.
Initial 3D product visualization. Modeled in Cinema 4D, rendered with Arnold Renderer.
Final 3D visualization.
